Maravilla Labs Announces maravilla.cloud for Chosen Partners: A Sovereign European Developer Platform
Basel, Switzerland, February 2026. Maravilla Labs, a Swiss software research laboratory building developer infrastructure, today announced the opening of maravilla.cloud to a selected group of partner organizations.
The European Developer Infrastructure Gap
For many European teams, building and deploying software requires combining services operated by companies under United States jurisdiction. These tools typically cover source code hosting, package distribution, build automation, and application deployment.
While widely used, such services fall under legal frameworks such as the US CLOUD Act, which can allow authorities to compel companies to provide data regardless of where that data is stored.
For organizations working with sensitive intellectual property or regulated workloads, the jurisdiction governing developer infrastructure has become an increasingly relevant consideration.
European open source communities have developed alternatives for source code hosting and collaboration. However, development teams often still rely on external platforms for application deployment, runtime infrastructure, and integrated build systems. The result is a fragmented stack where code management, build pipelines, deployment, and runtime services are spread across multiple vendors and jurisdictions.
A Unified European Platform
maravilla.cloud aims to address this fragmentation by providing a unified platform that spans the modern developer workflow.
The platform integrates several layers of developer infrastructure.
- Git Hosting: Repository hosting over SSH and HTTPS with multi-tenant namespaces, webhooks, and an API-first architecture.
- Package Registries: Integrated registries for JavaScript packages, container images, and Rust crates managed within a single tenant environment.
- CI and CD Execution: Containerized job execution with distributed agents and priority scheduling for build and automation pipelines.
- Static Hosting: Multi-tenant static site deployment with subdomain-based hosting and team collaboration features.
- Edge JavaScript Runtime: A V8 isolate-based runtime built on Deno technology for executing server-side logic and modern frameworks such as SvelteKit.
Together these components allow development teams to manage code, build artifacts, deployments, and runtime workloads within a single platform.
Built From Original Infrastructure
Unlike hosting providers that assemble existing open source components into managed services, Maravilla Labs develops the core infrastructure of the platform itself.
Key components of the platform including the runtime, hosting engine, and developer infrastructure are written in Rust, emphasizing memory safety, predictable performance, and operational simplicity.
The platform is designed around a lean deployment architecture. Instead of requiring large multi-service stacks or complex orchestration environments, the core infrastructure runs as a small number of efficient services. This reduces operational overhead and resource requirements for organizations running the platform in their own environments. The architecture supports both managed cloud operation and enterprise self-hosted deployments.
Supply Chain Transparency
Modern software development increasingly requires traceability across the entire build and deployment process. Because the platform integrates source control, build execution, artifact registries, and runtime deployment within a single system, the architecture is designed to support full software supply chain visibility.
By linking commits, build pipelines, published artifacts, and deployed workloads, the platform can provide a clear lineage from source code to running application. This model aligns with emerging European requirements around software bill of materials, artifact provenance, and supply chain security.
Maravilla Labs is actively developing additional tooling to support these workflows as part of its long-term roadmap for enterprise deployments.
Operating From Switzerland
The Maravilla platform is developed and operated by Maravilla Labs, a Swiss company based in Basel.
Switzerland is recognized by the European Union for data protection adequacy and maintains an independent legal framework through the Federal Act on Data Protection, revised in 2023. For organizations navigating European compliance requirements such as NIS2 or internal governance policies, Switzerland provides a stable jurisdiction for operating developer infrastructure.
The platform is designed so that organizations can deploy the full system within infrastructure of their choosing, including private cloud or on-premise environments.
Three Ways to Deploy
The platform is available in three deployment models designed to match different organizational requirements.
Managed Cloud
The shared multi-tenant service available at maravilla.cloud.
Dedicated Platform Deployment
A single-tenant managed installation on isolated infrastructure.
Self-Hosted Enterprise
Full deployment on customer infrastructure including private cloud or on-premise environments.
This deployment model allows organizations to consolidate several parts of their development infrastructure into a single platform operated under their own control.
Partner Program
The maravilla.cloud partner program provides early access to development teams interested in evaluating the platform and collaborating with Maravilla Labs during its initial rollout.
Partners receive:
- Early access to the full platform
- Direct engineering support from the Maravilla Labs team
- Influence over the feature roadmap and API design
- Commercial service agreements from launch
Organizations interested in participating can apply through maravilla.cloud or contact partners@maravillalabs.com.
Roadmap and Honest Caveats
Maravilla Labs publishes its roadmap openly. As of the partner launch in February 2026, the following components are in partner preview.
- The platform is currently API-first and a web-based management interface is in development.
- The edge runtime currently supports SvelteKit. Nuxt.js and Next.js adapters are under development.
- Storage and Queue APIs are implemented but pending full delivery pipeline integration.
Partners are selected because they want to co-develop the platform, not because it is finished. Maravilla Labs welcomes technical teams willing to engage directly with engineering.
